Hello Greek Swing Dancers!

My name is Michael Taylor and I am a swing dancer from Calgary, Canada.

I am on a search for international music. Frankie inspired me, with his recent passing I want to to assemble some tunes from around the world to show how much he truly did for all of us.

I was wonding, if you would be able to reccommend a few greek swing bands, preferably using greek text, for me to add to my list of countries that have been touched by the jitterbug, pardon the pun.

Thanks much everyone!
Michael Taylor

Hi Michael,

and thanx for stopping by!

Calgary eh? If only Eugenia (the 3rd Swing Cat) knew about that - she came to Calgary last year for over a week...

Greek swing now: I don't actually know that many bands, although they do exist for sure. Maybe another member might reply. The ones I quite like are:

1) the swing shoes
2) Breathless
3) diminuita swing trio

check them out on myspace too.

Keep in touch!

Thanks very much. I like the Swing Shoes, gypsy jazz is always a good thing to have on hand as bal and charleston is a good thing. The Trio sounds quite good too. Breathless, if I was looking at the right myspace page, was more indie rock than swing. Are we equally breathless? Or, is your's a greek lack of breath and mine an english lack of breath?

Now for CD buying! Going to be a rich CD fund for the summer!

Cheers,
Michael
