Guys & Gals...
This is your chance to appear on National TV!
We just got some good news. The TV show 'Exei Gousto' (ET1) has shown a great interest in the 'Athens Swing Cats'! On Wednesday the 12th of November, they will do a shooting of us dancing; this will be followed by short interviews of the 4 of us. However, they also want to show some of our students doing the Lindy next to us, and interview one of you - simple questions, i.e. why do you like Lindy Hop etc. Of course we would have to be dressed up in period clothes, but don't worry we have lots of clothes that we can share with you 
It sounds a bit scary, but its shouldn't! On Saturday we will work at a few particular moves that you already know; we will put them all together so as to have a 'choreography' as we do with the strolls. Easy stuff, so we don't have to improvise on the spot!
This is really exciting stuff  Swing is getting big in Greece - we wouldn't have done this without you guys. We really hope you'll come along and show to the rest of Greece what we are all doing!
Please let us know in advance if you're planning to join us, if you need any period clothes, and feel free to ask us any questions, here at the forum. It is more convenient to communicate through the forum rather than individual e-mails at this stage.
We're meeting up on Wednesday the 12th, at 21:30 at the usual place - 'choro-logie' dance studio.

National TV - The ET1 is the equivalent of BBC1 - just not that good (Jonathan Ross is not part of it tjat why!)Nai, but don't forget something even more important!

tell me cats, did your kitties make you proud tonight?
I couldn't make it cause i had already canceled my guitar lesson last week for the party and i wasn't keen on doing it again - following Miss Cherry Pies' advice not to give up on it ;-) And once i got into that, i want to let the community know that soon you ll be dancing with you own live music cause i finally started trumpet lessons !!! (kala, to soon mia kouventa einai...eeeexoume mellon)
anyway, i got waaaaaaaaay off topic (sorry admins, plz don't start yelling)...
tell me, how did it go, and when do we get the chance to "kamarwsoume" you on tv? (plaka, plaka pws einai ayto st agglika?)

Hello All,
I just wanted to say a huge big Thank You to everyone who came along to the TV shoot last night. I realize that you were there for much longer than expected, and that everything finished quite late, and most (or probably all of you) had work the next morning.
We are all very grateful for your support, enthusiasm, and patience.

Speaking only from my own point of view, I found the whole thing quite terrifying. I am normally very camera shy anyway, but having a professional TV camera and crew there practically turned me into a complete nervous wreck  . Anyway, if we ever have to do something like that again, maybe I should consider hiring a professional actor to pretend to be me, so that I don't have to be there Everyone who came along was great, and I hope you all enjoyed it, despite the fact that we finished quite late.
